Forced-Entry-Resistant High-Security Doors
The Fortress Series doors were independently tested at NTS Chesapeake in Belcamp, Maryland, to the U.S. Department of State SD-STD-01.01, Revision G, FE/15 forced-entry standard, achieving the 15-minute rating. It was also tested by ift Rosenheim and awarded Resistance Class 4 (RC4) certification. These ratings demonstrate the door’s ability to resist highly skilled attackers using heavy-duty tools, including crowbars, sledgehammers, axes, wedges, saws, steel-cutting pliers, and power drills.
For additional protection, the Fortress Series can be upgraded with ballistic resistance ranging from FB4 and UL 752 Level 3 protection against handgun threats to FB6 and UL 752 Level 8 protection against rifle threats. Combining certified forced-entry resistance with optional ballistic protection, the Fortress Series is well suited for government facilities, commercial buildings, private residences, apartments, and other high-security applications.

What's in a Fortress door?
Security Class 4 (RC 4) under European Standard EN 1627:2011 The Fortress Series was tested by ift Rosenheim and classified RC4 under EN 1627. RC4 evaluates resistance to experienced attackers using heavier hand tools and portable power tools. This certifies that the Fortress series door can withstand entry from highly skilled attackers using heavy-duty tools such as crowbars, hammers, axes, saws, steel cutting pliers, and power drills. The Fortress can be upgraded to include ballistic resistance ranging from small handgun fire to assault rifles (UL 752 Level 3 or Level 8). The door is suitable for government offices, commercial buildings, private homes, and apartments. Fortress doors are designed to help create a highly secure environment for areas with elevated threat profiles or security challenges, providing a significant tested delay against burglary and forced-entry attempts. Its 3.5-inch thick door leaf design, and unique security features are the result of years of research, development, and testing against a wide variety of burglary methods. Additionally, the door was tested for internal and external penetration to ensure that it is as secure from the inside as from the outside. Discrete Security is hidden in our design. Fortress Safe Room Door characteristics:
Safe
Specially bent L-shaped 4.5" wide door frame is not only wider than that of ordinary armored door, but also has bending edges that reinforce the frame. The frame is fixed in the aperture by 16 plugs, which are protected from cutting by steel liners of 24 mm, thus there is no need to fix the door in concrete. Internal leaf construction is reinforced by rigid edges that do not allow deforming the door easily during burglary. At least one of the locks installed in this door model must be no lower than 7th security class. The locks are installed in protective steel boxes. The armored lock is protected by 2 drilling resistant manganese plates and each lock pin is protected by a separate protective sleeve in the door frame.
Excellent sound insulation and shutting out the odors
Due to full thermal insulation of the door structure by 2" rock wool. This door is especially tight and therefore, shuts out the odors and smoke from the outside.
Fire resistant
Optional 90-minute fire-construction components are available. This option is not represented as a certified or labeled 90-minute fire-door assembly.
Durable, Precise, and Easy to Operate
Fortress Series doors are manufactured using precision equipment capable of working to tolerances as fine as 0.1 mm. This precise fabrication helps keep the door leaf and frame straight, accurately aligned, and consistent. Heavy-duty ball-bearing hinges allow the door to open and close smoothly despite its substantial steel construction.
As the internal construction of the door has no closed cavities, the entire metal construction is covered in powder coating, which ensures long-term surface protection from corrosion.
The door finishes are water-resistant and can be milled without bulging, flaking or losing its characteristics.
Under necessity the doors finishes can be easily replaced.
It is recommended to use galvanized steel for entrance door construction.
