Forced-Entry-Resistant High-Security Doors
FORTRESS SERIES • FE/15 • RC4
Protect your residence, secure facility, or commercial property with a complete, pre-hung door and frame assembly engineered for demanding security requirements. The Fortress Series combines tested FE/15 forced-entry resistance, an RC4 classification and multi-point locking with customizable high-end design options.
Independently Tested FE/15 and RC4 Protection
The Fortress Series has been independently evaluated under American and European forced-entry standards. These tests measure the resistance of the complete door, frame and locking system against defined attack methods and tools.

U.S. Department of State FE/15
The Fortress Series was independently tested at NTS Chesapeake to U.S. Department of State standard SD-STD-01.01, Revision G. The complete assembly withstood three separate 15-minute forced-entry attacks targeting the lock edge, hinge edge and center of the door, earning an FE/15 rating.
European RC4 Classification
The Fortress Series was also tested by ift Rosenheim under European standard EN 1627 and awarded an RC4 resistance classification. RC4 evaluates resistance to experienced attackers using heavier hand tools and portable power tools.
Testing includes attacks using tools such as crowbars, hammers, axes, wedges, saws, steel-cutting pliers and power drills.
Reinforced as a Complete High-Security Opening
The Fortress series is built into the complete opening, not added to a conventional door. The reinforced door leaf, frame, hinges and locking components are configured to protect against attacks in multiple areas of the door and frame assembly.
3.5-Inch Door Leaf and Reinforced Frame
The Fortress Series uses a substantial 3.5-inch-thick door leaf and reinforced steel frame. Each system is supplied pre-hung so the door, frame, hinges and locking components arrive configured to function together.
Proper anchoring and compatible surrounding wall construction are essential to the performance of the completed finished opening.

Multi-Point Locking Protection
Depending on the selected configuration, up to 12 active locking bolts engage the reinforced frame. Four fixed hinge-side security bolts help prevent the door from being forced out of the opening.
Choose a mechanical multi-point locking system or the ISEO/Fiam X1R electromechanical lock with available key, keypad, smartphone and access-control operation.

TESTING IN ACTION
What FE/15 Forced-Entry Testing Looks Like
FE/15 testing evaluates more than the lock. The door leaf, frame, locking side and hinge side are subjected to coordinated physical attacks using a defined selection of heavy-duty tools.
During the Fortress Series evaluation, a six-person test team attacked the locking side, door face and hinge side. Each area was subjected to 15 minutes of active attack, producing 45 minutes of total attack time across the complete opening.
Coordinated Physical Attack
Trained test personnel apply sustained impact, leverage, cutting and prying force to identify potential weaknesses in the door assembly.
The Complete Opening Under Test
Testing targets multiple areas of the installed door and frame system rather than evaluating a single component in isolation.
Defined Attack Tools
The test uses specified tools such as crowbars, hammers, axes, wedges, saws, cutting tools and other equipment associated with a determined forced-entry attempt.
The FE/15 rating provides a documented measure of delay under defined laboratory conditions, allowing projects to compare the Fortress system against the required threat level.

Plan the Right Fortress Door for Your Security Requirements
Every Fortress FE/15 door is custom made around the identified threat, opening size, wall construction, forced-entry requirements, locking preference and architectural design.
Provide the project zip code, intended use, approximate rough-opening dimensions, wall construction and any preferences for the door swing, locking system, architectural finish or ballistic protection.

RESIDENTIAL SECURITY OPTION
Explore the Embassy Series FE/5
For residential entrances, safe rooms and private interior spaces that do not require the higher FE/15 protection of the Fortress Series, the Embassy Series provides tested FE/5 forced-entry performance and an RC3 resistance classification.
Like the Fortress, the Embassy is supplied as a complete, pre-hung door and frame assembly with multi-point locking, customizable finishes and available mechanical or electromechanical locking options.
